Abstract

This text analyzes the importance and contributions of the Mexican Academy of Criminalistics as a historical and scientific reference for expert services, likewise, it identifies the underlying relationship that exists between science, scientific communities, and the evidence in the procedure accusatory criminal. A timeline is presented that goes from 1975 to 2023, where these contributions are listed, and it was concluded that the scientific communities have a fundamental role for the acceptance of new knowledge in forensic science; and that these are part of the state of the art of contemporary criminalistics.
