Mission
The Mexican Journal of Criminal Sciences of the National Institute of Criminal Sciences is a quarterly publication that aims to disseminate scientific information related to criminal science. If you subscribe to the study of subjects such as crime, delinquency, penalties or sanctions, defense mechanisms against criminality, victimology, criminal policy, criminology, forensic sciences and prison law, among other aspects, the The general public will be able to understand the importance of the laws and institutions in charge of regulating social behavior for the benefit of all people. Published in printed and electronic versions, this work constitutes an institutional effort committed to the culture of constitutionality and legality.
Vision
The entry into force of the accusatory criminal system in 2016 represented a step forward for Mexico in the development of criminal science. The way in which crimes are investigated and judged today implies the imperative observance of human rights, as well as the need for the authorities to be more careful in the development of their work. Given that, by imperative of article 1. of the Federal Constitution, every authority is obliged to defend human rights within the scope of its competence, it is necessary that there are suitable information channels so that people know how the public powers should conduct themselves; In this sense, the Revista Mexicana de Ciencias Penales contributes with texts by renowned researchers, who seek to clarify many of the doubts that any citizen may have in criminal and criminal procedural matters, among others that make up the range of disciplines that, in the end, they tend to form judgments and statistics that reveal the degree of advance or retreat of the country in different orders.
Objective
The Mexican Journal of Criminal Sciences consists of disseminating, in Mexico and abroad, the results of investigations into crime and its perpetrators, criminology, criminalistics, forensic medicine, criminal policy, the prison system, the means of defense against crime, victimology, hate crimes and other issues related to criminal science.
